I am Senior Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. I previously worked at a global law firm as a senior economist, and prior to that held several positions in the U.S. government, including the Treasury Department, White House Council of Economic Advisers, U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Trade Representative, and U.S. International Trade Commission. I also served as deputy chief economist for Australia’s patent office, IP Australia. My research interests include international trade, globalization, and intellectual property rights.
