I began my journalism career with Entrepreneur magazine with a focus on small business technology. As a freelance journalist, I’ve covered gadgets, geek culture, public schools, weird foods, transatlantic travel and Route 66. Over the past decade, my focus has been on fascinating facets of science, from goofy rocks on Mars to ancient insects trapped in amber. I’m a longtime contributor to CNET and have also worked with New Mexico Magazine, Komando.com, Albuquerque Business First and Albuquerque the Magazine. I love diving into quirky science stories to communicate complex topics in a fun and accessible way. My favorite planet is Earth, but Mars is a close second.
