I am a freelance journalist based in the southern Indian city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu. I have over three decades of experience in mainstream and business journalism and became a freelancer in August 2020. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Madras and a Master’s in Media Management from the University of Stirling, U.K., on the FCO's Chevening scholarship. At my last job, I anchored a fortnightly page on start-ups and the start-up ecosystem for 10 years. My interests include nature, wildlife, bird watching, photography, heritage, urban development and reading.
