I’m a London-based journalist telling stories about entrepreneurial eco-systems and the people who make up the most vibrant parts of them, in established and emerging markets. The intersection of modern culture, world events and great ideas fascinates me, particularly when they culminate in subtle, or significant shifts in society. I cover entrepreneurs around the globe, across all sectors, as they relate to the local infrastructure, whether it's a gourmet pizza franchise in Kenya cashing in on the cravings of a returning diaspora, or start ups in Iran solving everyday problems with adaptations of Western websites. I studied broadcast journalism at Emerson College and have spent more than twenty years in TV, radio and print/digital covering news and features for CBS News, PRI, NPR, BBC, Al Jazeera, Monocle, The Atlantic, and others. When I’m not chasing stories, I can be found training for sprint triathlons, admiring art, or learning how to stand on a surfboard for more than half a second.
